Buford is such a Johnny Cash fan that he dresses all in black. He's wearing black shoes, black socks, black trousers, black jumper, black gloves and black balaclava (hood covering his head and face). He is walking down a black street with all the street lamps off.
Suddenly, Festus starts driving his big 4WD truck right towards Buford with its lights off. Somehow, mercifully, Festus somehow manages to stop in time and not run down his buck-toothed cousin.
