Cool iphone voice application for YellowPages.com
Wednesday, August 20th, 2008AppleInsider | AT&T developing voice-controlled iPhone apps (video)
AppleInsider reports the first voice application for the iphone. AT&T’s Watson voice service makes inputting text as simple as speaking a few words.
The Video showing the application shows the user still pushing a few buttons (are the called buttons on the iphone?), to select location, category and search, but the main input is spoken.
Kathleen Pierz, finds that voice input is critically important to mobile search, and this is a very good demonstration of combining voice and touch for maximum ease.
