Ideas meet Web 2.0

ideablobI was watching the video of the Demo 2007 conference and saw an old friend, Ami Kassar presenting a new idea. Ideablob is a site where people can post and categorize their ideas in an open forum.

It’s an interesting move for a credit card company to be sponsoring a forum for ideas and award $10,000 prizes for the highest rated ideas.

As I read more, I understood that Advanta, a small business credit card issuer has a foundation to reward entrepreneurs and to foster ideas.

I lost myself trolling through the ideas, and found the site somewhat hypnotic is a way that I get lost on video sharing sites. More than the considerable prize, I could see the desire to reach out, communicate and push the boundaries in this site.

I applaud Advanta for breaking the boundaries.
