How to quickly boost local Google visibility
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is your business easily seen on Google, or is it practically invisible?
Mr. Magoogle
Here's a wonderful tip for boosting the visibility of your local business on Google. It's the lead technique in my upcoming presentation to the Texas Self Storage Association's Annual Convention:
"Ten Powerful Ways to Market Your Local Business on the Internet for Little or No Money"
Of everything you can do online to increase your visibility, one action blows all the others away by delivering the greatest impact.
What I'm about to show you is fast, free and hardly anyone is doing it.
Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it?
Well, it's real, it works, and you can do it in the time it takes to eat a tuna sandwich.  (I timed myself.)
The rest of the story . . .
Buford works with his 20 cousins in the same factory.
They all drive from various directions (north, south, east and west) to get to work.
One day, the boss informed the staff that the factory would be relocating to another location.
Everyone was worried that their commute would be longer.
The boss assured everyone that no matter which direction they came from, they would all have a shorter commute than they had to the previous location.
How is it possible that all employees could have a shorter commute and continue working together at the new location?
Check out the answer and the winner of a lifetime supply* of Starbucks Coffee.
Honey, I've found our dream address.
But you won't want to keep away from the upcoming Kelsy Group Conference. The Future of Yellow Pages is the local advertising conference event of the year.
Here's an awesome video (starring me as myself) describing the Kelsey conferences.
Watch the Video
In all seriousness, I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't attended these conferences and made so many connections.  It's where a $25 billion industry makes important decisions.
Get ready for action.  I've lined up the following webinar topics.  There's no charge to attend these webinars, but space is limited to 200 attendees.  My last webinars attracted over 800.
  • 7 Things You Need to Know before using Call Measurement Services
  • Design secrets from the world's top Yellow Pages Ad designer
  • How to pummel your competition with Free Directory Assistance Advertising
If you want to be notified of the dates, receive more details, or participate in a future webinar, send me an email.  Dick@commandos.cc
Association of Directory Marketing takes bold move
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
this is NOT Herb Gordon

Herb Gordon, President & CEO of the Association of Directory Marketing (not pictured here) has taken a bold and daring move by inviting me to speak at the ADM Annual Conference in Salt Lake City.

It's bold because most folks in the Yellow Pages industry can't tell if I'm friend or foe.  Sure, I authored "Ringing up Profits - How to Create Yellow Pages Ads that Make Customers Call."

But I've also been very outspoken in challenging YP industry practices that don't support businesses trying to reach customers through directional advertising.

The world is moving online.  get over it.

But that doesn't mean the print Yellow Pages are dead.  It just means that you've gotta adjust your marketing strategies to meet consumer behavior.

Hope to see you in September.  If you've coming to Salt Lake City, let me know and I'll smuggle in a few extra beers.

This week's Redneck Riddle

Buford borrowed Festus' truck and got it to run for one mile at 120 miles per hour.

BANG!

The engine blew, and the truck coasted another mile at 60 miles per hour.

Here's the question . . .

How many times did Festus punch Buford in the face?

Oops, wrong question . . . .

What was the average speed for the two miles?

Email your answer to move@redneckriddles.com.  One lucky winner will receive a lifetime supply* of Starbucks coffee.

*It's a lifetime provided that you stop drinking after the third cup or so, because it's a $10 Starbucks gift card.

If you know of a top sales producer or manager who is looking for a company that will appreciate, support and reward him or her, send them my way.

We're growing like crazy and have a couple of openings for sales superstars with proven track records.

So what do we do?

We created a sophisticated system that makes local Internet advertising affordable (and highly effective) for small businesses.  I don't want to brag, but it's kicking serious boo-tay.

We just need to tell more people about it.

I've been bragging about Kerry Randall's book on Yellow Pages Advertising for Lawyers as being simply the best book I've read for Yellow Pages advertisers. The problem was that it was targeted toward lawyers and didn't address other business types.

Wisely, Kerry updated the wonderful tips and marketing plans for any business that advertises in the Yellow Pages.

He sent me a copy for review, and I liked it so much that I bought the exclusive rights to market the electronic version.

His book is loaded with very specific examples and exercises that are easy to follow. I can honestly say that every advertiser (even a guy with a little in-column ad) will benefit by reading this book.

I've seen, and even promoted other very good YP books that sell for $50 - $150, but nothing cuts to the chase like Winning the Yellow Pages War. Kerry focuses on the critical issues that will have the biggest impact. He uses solid examples and shows ads created using his techniques.

I'm selling copies of Winning the Yellow Pages War for only $14.99. That price is far too little for the value the book contains.

However, my mission as the Yellow Pages Commando has always been to help more people be successful with their Yellow Pages advertising rather than to get rich off a few that can afford a higher price.
Make payments withPayPal - it's fast, free and secure!

I'll email the book to you as a PDF document that can be read and printed using the free Adobe Acrobat reader.

I offer a 100% money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied with your investment. You have nothing to lose.
